What are your favorite Holiday Season memories with your brothers? - Pledge brother, Rick Thorne and I going out at 02:00, Saturday morning, to "acquire" a tree, using a hacksaw, so that guys could share a Christmas tree with their pinmates, whom they would not see again after that last party before term break, that night. We shoved the tree in the back seat of Dick Myers' car and made a quick escape, with me on the floor so that the tree would fit and Rick on the hood, as Dick drove to the house.

Are there any life or career updates you'd like to share with your alumni brothers in an upcoming e-letter or newsletter? - We live in Boalsburg - 12 minutes from campus. My bride of 30+ years was recently featured with a series of interviews/demonstrations about her business, Giovanna's Gourmets, on the region's CBS affiliate. I was in a crowded State College restaurant's bar, one Friday at happy hour, when I glanced across the room - told the guy with whom I was talking that I'd be right back - had to tell somebody something - edged my way through the crowd, tapped her elbow and said, "excuse me Miss. I mean no offense. I just wanted to tell you that you are the most beautiful woman I've ever seen." She was and turned-out to be an even lovelier person - she's still a knockout - 18 years age difference never seemed to matter to either of us. My daughter Shari (MBA & BS from State) is Director of Supply Chain at Philips Corp, in Boston - she's completed about 30 marathons around the world. My younger daughter, Gina Michelle (BA from State) works in graphic arts at MIT, where she is carrying an A average doing part time grad studies. I'm CEO of Franzetta & Associates, Inc., supply chain management consultants. Past president of the Penn State Football Letterman's Club, I remain actively associated with guys from many eras of State football - get to the very occasional practice and sometimes use my field pass & get down on the sideline at games.

What are your favorite Holiday Season memories with your brothers? - In the late 60's and 70's under the term system, fall classes ended by the first week in December. There were really no Christmas activities at the House.

Are there any life or career updates you'd like to share with your alumni brothers in an upcoming e-letter or newsletter? - When my wife, Sue, retired after 40 years of teaching, she told me that I couldn't retire until I was 70. On my 70th birthday, she revised that schedule to 75. We both agreed to that since we were married "for better or worse, it not for lunch". For the past 5 years, I have been engaged as a Research Project Manager for both Columbia and Rutgers Universities. I have been part of a team that has been teaching Cancer Education and Smoking Cessation to inmates in Pennsylvania Correctional Institutions.

In a perfect world, if you could return to campus for one event in 2020 what would it be? - The Green Beer Jammy.
