Last month, Phi Kap Brothers attended PUSH, FIJI’s philanthropy event.

Voted the best Philanthropy at the 2014 IFC/Panhellenic Awards, FIJI Push is a philanthropy event that the Gamma Phi Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) and the Pennsylvania Epsilon Chapter of Pi Beta Phi Sorority host annually. This year, they were joined by the Brothers of Phi Kappa Theta.

For the event, teams pushed a military hummer to raise money for the United Service Organization or USO, the nation’s leading organization for the purpose of serving military men and women and their families while in uniform.

After seeing the success that many other FIJI chapters from around the country were achieving by planning this event, Gamma Phi also began hosting FIJI Push. What began at Johns Hopkins University just three years ago is now a national event being emulated on more than seven college campuses across the nation, and for the past two years State College has been a proud participant as well! As such, the entirety of the Gamma Phi chapter participated in the event.
