Comments:

  • “Provide football tickets to alumni.”
  • “Alums that come back are looking to connect with other alums, not hang with the actives.
  • You should have less structure to your events but providing a forum for alums to hook back up. Those of us that are season ticket holders have tailgates. We attend each game and generally don’t want to give that up. Your best bet is Friday night or later on Saturday. I’m guessing you had very little interest from alums on your dinner Saturday night for obvious reason.”
  • “Keep on doing what you’re doing! It’s tradition!”

What is your overall opinion of the alumni relations program?

  • “You’re working very hard. I’m just not interested in being involved.”
  • “What is your program, sending an email? I think many alums now feel dis¬connected from the house as there has been so much change and stopping the use of the phi who nickname.”
  • “I’m too old and too far away to have an interest.”

As an alum, what do you see as the most valuable part of the fraternity experience?

  • “Lifetime friendships with brothers.”
  • “The skills I provides in working together to achieve goals.”
  • “Somewhere to come home to.”

Describe the fraternity alumni association at its full potential.

  • “Providing guidance and support needed by the active chapter.”
  • “Setting up regional meetings and allowing for brotherly contact to assist each other in job search or other endeavors.”
  • “Serves as a clearinghouse for connecting alums.”
  • “Connecting generations of brothers with common bonds.
