Your Beta Gamma Alumni Corporation Board has been very heavily engaged with the undergraduate board this spring and summer. Unlike past years where the topics were primarily focused on renovation plans, we spent energy getting to know our undergrad board and work on leadership issues.

As you may recall, we had a fire incident at the end of the spring semester that raised many questions. After a full stream of communication this summer, we've made many changes at the undergraduate level while committing a different level of involvement from the alumni board.

While there are many positive outcomes to discuss, the most critical component is totally different than past efforts. Specifically, this summer, we made the decision to invest in our undergrad officers by sending them to The 2014 Leadership Institute, a comprehensive leadership and personal development program held in Indianapolis, Ind. This program is meant to give the undergrads tools to be successful right now and to set the stage for their future growth after college. We made this choice to, "give, expecting nothing thereof" and demonstrate to our brothers that we can create new possibilities for them while understanding the environment around them.

One of our undergrad leaders, Pete Lerario, participated in the program. He was featured in Phi Kappa Theta's "LI14 Experience" video about their Purpose Project. You can see him interviewed (first one to be interviewed) by clicking here! He cannot wait to use this experience in motivating the rest of our brothers as we help all of them take the next steps on their journey to extraordinary results. We look forward to seeing many great successes from this new approach to chapter leadership! Be sure to take a look at the video when you have a chance.
