You literally own 1/1113 of 338 E. Fairmount Ave.
By Josh Angert '11, Secretary, Beta Gamma Corporation of Phi Kappa Theta

When you do your annual assessment of your assets ... of all that you own ... do you include your share of Phi Kappa Theta at Penn State? For most of you, the answer is most likely, "No. I don't even think about Beta Gamma unless it's Homecoming or I get a request to give money." Why not? Why don't you think about Phi Kappa Theta as part of you? Or did that end when you graduated?

Over the past several weeks, we have surveyed our alumni brotherhood to see what you think about this investment that is your own — our Beta Gamma Chapter House at 338 E. Fairmount Ave. As Beta Gamma men, what do you want? Here is what some of you said:

71.43% of those who responded said their Greek experience was EXCELLENT.

What about you? Was yours Excellent? Very Good? Good? Fair? Or Poor? Directions to our survey are at the end of this report. If you haven't responded, do it today! Time to represent your 1/1113.

100% of those who responded said they would attend a Homecoming reception at the chapter house. As you can see, we want you to return for our Homecoming postgame events. 60% of those who responded said they would attend a spring golf or Blue-White event. Sigma Chi hosts one of the most impressive golf outings among PSU alumni. But it takes some organization and planning. Who will step forward to help us put together our Inaugural Beta Gamma Golf Outing for 2015? Don't worry about the size of the task. Once one of you steps forward, we can help. Email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

85.71% of those who responded said they would prefer to hear about events by eLetter. But, we have a problem. While most of those who responded want to hear about events through email and our website, we have only 266 valid email addresses on file for our 1,113 alumni. PLEASE update your contact information. Go online to www.pktpsu.com to update your profile. Or email our alumni relations partner at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Be sure to reference PKT at Penn State.

42.86% of those who responded want to see photos from each decade. So, take a few minutes to dig through your old photos. Scan a few and email them to our alumni relations partner, Affinity Connection, at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Be sure to reference PKT at Penn State. We will be featuring these in our online photo album and in upcoming eLetters.

This is your house. This is your alumni program. Without you, it wouldn't exist – so get involved today! Help plan alumni events, attend those events and get other brothers to join you, share photos and stories for the website and newsletters, give us your feedback by answering our survey and telling us what you like and don't like, and donate to the annual fund to keep it all going!
