Dancing "For the Kids"

This year we improved our presence on canning trips and set a requirement of 10 THONvelopes per brother. It was a privilege getting to the Whiplash girls and their THON child, Emma Johnson. We took a day trip in January to the Johnsons' house to meet the family. For THON weekend the brotherhood elected brother Scott Gimber to dance on the floor for Phi Kappa Theta. He danced alongside Whiplash's THON chair Annie Lohmeyer. They danced for 46 hours on the floor and said it was one of the greatest experiences they have had at Penn State.

This year Penn State raised over $12.3 million for the Four Diamonds Funds - nearly $2 million more than last year! Next year the brotherhood plans to create an alternative fundraiser to help increase its total for THON as well as looking for a corporate sponsor.
